Privacy policy

Short version: your PDF files never leave your device, because there is nowhere for them to go. PDF Strike has no server that receives documents.

Files you open with our tools

Every tool on this site runs as JavaScript inside your own browser. When you drop a file onto a tool, the browser reads it into memory on your machine, processes it there, and offers you the result as a download. The bytes of your file are never transmitted anywhere, are not written to any server, and are discarded when you close or reload the page.

Because we never receive your files, we cannot read them, store them, share them or hand them over to anyone.

Information we do collect

This site is served as static files. Our hosting provider records standard server request logs, which can include your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request and your browser’s user-agent string. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which tools people use and which pages they arrive on. It records things like the page you viewed, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you used. Google sets cookies in your browser to do this, and processes that data on its own servers.

What it never receives is your file. Analytics runs on the page, while your document is processed in a separate background thread and is never handed to any script from another company. No filename, file size, page count or anything else derived from your document is sent to Google or to us.

You can opt out with any browser setting or extension that blocks Google Analytics; every tool on this site keeps working normally with analytics blocked.

Advertising

PDF Strike is supported by display advertising. Ad slots are currently reserved but empty; no advertising network is loaded yet. This section will be updated with the specific provider, the data it collects and your choices before any live advertising is enabled.
